James R, Commack 12/13/2010 From the moment we arrived we were impressed; the decor, the friendly greeting and the observant waiter. The table is dressed as you sit with a delicious hummus with toasted bread neatly stuffed in all four sides like a cross; very pretty. I ordered a Chianti that was very nice and my wife ordered a White Zinfandel that she says was also very nice. We went with the price fix for $25.00 - more than reasonable. We started off both ordering our soup for this deal; vegetables with garlic. It was very nice, not over-garlic'ed and nice and warm for a December evening. For dinner I ordered the Stuffed Chicken Cutlet which was really not stuffed, but sure stacked with adorable Ricotta cheese cubes that looked like marshmallows and joined by spinach, croutons and herbs. Wow! This was as huge a serving I have had at the likes of C'iao Baby and other places. I really enjoyed it but only ate half, saving room for the dessert. My wife ordered the Eggplant. There was so much on her plate there was no way she was going to dent 25% of it. It was not soggy, my pet-peeve for eggplant. Instead it tasted like it was just cut for us. It had a nice texture, a tasty sauce around it and what seemed like home-made mozzarella. Very good Eggplant! For Dessert I ordered the Rasberry Cheesecake. There was no doubt it was made today, not last week and not from some phone call away type of place. This was fresh! My wife ordered the most amazing dessert I and she have had in some time. It was an Amaretto Sponge Cake with fresh almonds sliced on top and Ice Cream on the side. The Amaretto drizzled on top really added to the taste of this meal. So what comes after dessert? Tomorrow's meal, of course. I had the Linquini with garlic and oil that came with my chicken. I had one whole slice of the cutlet still left over and some more of the delicious topping. My wife and my two daughters (no exaggeration) enjoyed what was left of the eggplant and pasta with red sauce. So really, we got six meals out of this; and all for $95.00 with tip and two glasses of wine.
